Prosper (Pros) Bosteels was a Belgian artist born and died in Buggenhout (1881-1964). He was a painter and etcher. He trained as a teacher at the Normal School in Sint-Niklaas, architectural studies in Dendermonde, Antwerp and Ghent. Afterwards he studied painting at the Academy in Dendermonde under the direction of F. Willaert and at the Academy in Mechelen under the direction of J.W. Rosier.
